Starting a video game store?or a arcade/billards which one would you start and why?
I’m thinking starting a video game business or arcade game room business. My reason is that their isn’t and arcade business for about 30 miles near here if that.2nd A video game store like game stop but im don’t want to buy into anyone existing game store;for instincts buy video games and game consoles for whole sale and turn around and sell them, also give store credit out buy and sell used games and consoles just like game stop but something with a little twist.I want to be employed for my self and get out of my current job?????
Here’s all the business I’m currently looking at to start?
1.Arcade
2.Game Store
3.Used Appliances store
Out of these which one is the best to get in and that I can make good money from?
FYI.
Their is a lot of kids and soo many schools around here if it helps providing me some real information?
THANKS…..
Arcade’s are dead. Have been for close to 10 years. Why? Because the home consoles have become so powerful, arcade machines cannot compete for that same dollar. Why pay 75 cents to play one 3 minute game when you can play anyone around the world from your home. Online gaming has absolutely killed the arcade.
As for a video game store, the minute you open your small, independent shop, Gamestop will move in across the street and run you out of business. I do not mean to be a cynic, I have just see it happen time and time again.
None of the three choices would bring in a profit for 2-3 years. Not being cynical, just being realistic.
